What we are looking for


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Write detailed functional specifications that document newly created designs and support product introduction.
  • Design, implement and troubleshoot various analog and digital hardware, specifically applied to audio component characterization and signal processing.
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering teams to understand system interactions and
  • dependencies; account for these integration points within the development plan.
  • Provide technical support to the team throughout the product development and implementation process.
  • Test and verify hardware to ensure that they meet specifications and requirements, by recording and analyzing test data.
  • Model, build, test, and modify product prototypes using working models or theoretical models constructed through simulation.
  • Develop VHDL code to support FPGA-based designs; be proficient in simulating and debugging design.
  • Design and develop analog and digital hardware with PID temperature control systems.
  • Capture electrical design schematic using an ECAD system.
  • Review and approve layout done on the ECAD system.
  • Select hardware and materials, assuring compliance with specifications and product requirements. Work with technology suppliers and cross-functional staff to optimize hardware designs.
  • Engaging in all phases of new product introduction: concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support.
  • History of continuous development of core competencies in analog, digital and mixed-signal field. Update knowledge and skills in order to keep up with rapid advancements in technology.
  • Identifying and developing new opportunities to leverage Strategic Sourcing objectives and Common Technology initiatives in the MR product line.



  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with
  • 4+ years relative work experience in analog, digital, mixed-signal system design.




The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Demonstrated ability to design and debug bench level test setups (preferred debug and test capabilities using Raspberri Pi communication interface and Python scripts). Must be familiar with common electrical components.
  • Experience with typical electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, audio analyzers (desired).
  • Demonstrated circuit design and simulation tool experience (ie, PSpice or similar, TINA).
  • Demonstrated experience in VHDL designs and simulation tools (QuestaSim, Altera/Intel Synthesis Tools).
  • Working knowledge of project management processes and procedures.
  • Circuit design and simulation tool experience.
  • Schematic capture experience.
  • Working knowledge of PWA board bring-up and system integration experience.


Desired skills

  • Circuit design and simulation tool experience
  • Familiarity with design of experiments (DoE)
  • Prior work experience in Medical Device industry
  • Design experience in applications of analog filters, mixer design, impedance
  • matching, ADC driver interfaces
  • Demonstrated experience in Mixed-signal simulation tools (Agilent ADS, PSpice)
  • Demonstrated experience in MATLAB or equivalent simulation/modeling tool
