The client needed a compact and high-power electronics solution for satellites operating under strict space and thermal constraints. The challenge was to deliver a scalable, thermally optimized power-switching box to be used across multiple satellite platforms.
ALTEN provided full lifecycle development, from system architecture through structural analysis and testing. The engineering team designed seven complex PCBs with up to 16 layers and implemented high-speed differential routing, blind/buried vias, and heatsinking systems.
The resulting solution delivered a tightly integrated electrical-mechanical system with custom conduction heat sinks, meeting power and thermal requirements. This approach not only supported current satellite systems but ensured future scalability due to its modular architecture.
