Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Create MATLAB/Simulink control software for vehicle state and power management
• Collaborate with other departments on development requirements
• Take charge of software, testing, and validation, in the lab and on vehicles
• Collaborate with embedded/integration engineers to implement, test, debug, and calibrate control algorithms
• Offer software development guidance to team members
• Engage in a fast-paced environment with a skilled team
• Provide support for troubleshooting control system issues

Education/Experience 

• Master’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 6+ years of professional experience

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. 

• Proficient in MATLAB/Simulink
• Skilled in control algorithm development
• Direct experience in designing vehicle-level controls for electric/hybrid vehicles, encompassing battery management, charging systems, and state management
• Experienced in modeling and simulation
• Strong background in Model-Based system design using MATLAB/Simulink
• Knowledgeable in auto-code generation within MATLAB/Simulink
• Proficient in C/C++ programming
• Solid grasp of system/component design and development processes
• Familiar with git version control
