Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Create MATLAB/Simulink control software for vehicle state and power management
- Collaborate with other departments on development requirements
- Take charge of software, testing, and validation, in the lab and on vehicles
- Collaborate with embedded/integration engineers to implement, test, debug, and calibrate control algorithms
- Offer software development guidance to team members
- Engage in a fast-paced environment with a skilled team
- Provide support for troubleshooting control system issues
Education/Experience
- Master’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 6+ years of professional experience
Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
- Proficient in MATLAB/Simulink
- Skilled in control algorithm development
- Direct experience in designing vehicle-level controls for electric/hybrid vehicles, encompassing battery management, charging systems, and state management
- Experienced in modeling and simulation
- Strong background in Model-Based system design using MATLAB/Simulink
- Knowledgeable in auto-code generation within MATLAB/Simulink
- Proficient in C/C++ programming
- Solid grasp of system/component design and development processes
- Familiar with git version control
