Essential Duties and Responsibilities
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Analyze reported failures and evaluate to determine the root cause and implement solutions.
  • Support product/process/yield improvement activities in partnership with Engineering, Operations, and Quality departments.
  • Generate reports and compile data related to reported issues and findings.
  • Investigate and escalate Production issues/complaints with the development.
  • Analyze failure tracking for trend identification.
  • Responsible for yield improvement of the production line.
  • Provide engineering knowledge and oversight to resolve manufacturing- and quality-related problems with existing products.
  • Create strategies for the verification of the corrective actions and participate in verification activities.
  • Create engineering change orders.
  • Support operational (shortages, EOL) change requests for released products.
  • Create prototypes to test new components, fixes, and improvements.
  • Maintain assembly procedures and documents from the release.
  • Implement Manufacturing Bill of Materials administration and updates from product improvements or obsolescence.
  • Provide routine review and action for obsolete parts and identification of sources for direct replacement parts that meet the form, fit, and function requirements.
  • Support and set up new product introductions.
  • Routinely required to sit or stand for long durations of time, in addition to bending, reaching, and walking.
  • Able to lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds.

 

Education/Experience

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree
  • 8+ years of experience in testing and debugging embedded hardware development experience in the Aersopace industry

 

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of standard data bus peripherals (I2C, SPI, UART, USB, Ethernet).
  • Competency with standard test equipment: oscilloscope, power supply, multi-meter, logic analyzer.
  • Ability to rework circuit boards with surface mount technology.
  • Working knowledge of hardware and system debug practices.
  • Experience with debugging and evaluation of system failures.
  • Ability to read schematics and be able to relate them to the PCB Design.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Energy and passion for inventing and creating new solutions, challenging the status quo, and driving positive change.
  • Ability and willingness to go above and beyond one’s comfort zone when it comes to learning about other technologies and applications.

Salary Range: $115,000 - $190,000

The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
