Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • As a Vehicle Electronics Engineer, your role will involve delivering technical solutions for vehicle functions, dynamics, and ADAS using existing or upcoming hardware and software on the next-generation electronics platform.

  • You will be responsible for adapting vehicle functions to meet the requirements of the North American market.

  • Creating and maintaining product roadmaps in relevant areas, aligning them with technology streams, brands, and proposing appropriate solutions.

  • Actively participating in benchmarking activities and conducting gap analyses.

  • Developing new hardware and software specifically tailored for the North American markets.

  • Detailing and specifying requirements for both internal and external suppliers.

  • Planning and monitoring project progress, managing risks as needed.

  • Documenting design solutions to accommodate different truck sales variants.

  • Ensuring that solutions are verified and validated against the specified requirements.

  • Validating and verifying compliance with applicable regulations for current and future years.

  • Addressing market-specific and customer-specific needs.

  • Adhering to product positioning strategies and striving for optimal alignment among competitors.

  • Developing cost-effective, forward-thinking, and scalable solutions.

 

Education/Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

  • 3-5+ years of experience in Embedded Software and/or Automotive Electronics.

 

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

  • Strong preference for candidates with experience in the Truck or Passenger Auto Industry.

  • Ability to lead product development activities involving cross-functional teams and internal/external suppliers from around the globe.

  • Experience in coaching and mentoring junior team members.

  • Prior experience as a component owner working with Body Control Modules, ABS, and ADAS systems.

  • Knowledge of North American regulations relevant to commercial transportation would be advantageous.

  • Sound understanding of CAN and LIN networks and protocols.

  • Ability to comprehend and decompose system-level requirements into components and end-user functions.

  • Proficiency in design documentation and software configuration, linking them to sales variants or similar specifications.

  • Comfortable working with project management processes and agile large solution teams/trains.

  • Occasional travel (local) may be required to accomplish your objectives and expand your network.

 

Salary Range: $85k

The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
