Job Description
The Systems Engineer is an experienced professional engineer with Automotive Systems design experience. They have working knowledge of automotive architecture, automotive networks, automotive requirements, High Voltage (HEV/EV) architectures. They have experience working in automotive product development teams.
The Systems Engineer (BDU) will primarily work on the development of cutting-edge Battery Disconnect Units for electric vehicles. They will apply multi-discipline experience to assess the requirements, architect, and produce BDUs.
Primary Roles & Responsibilities
- Customer interface for Systems Engineering (requirements, block diagram, interfaces)
- Customer requirements management
- Product Architecture design (interface diagrams, sub-system definition)
- Requirements analysis and decomposition to Engineering teams
- Test specification definition (Proto, DV/PV, EOL)
- Support to Validation teams
- Diagnostic and identification of Failure mechanisms
Experience
- BSEE (or equivalent)
- Automotive Systems design experience
- Working knowledge of automotive architecture, automotive networks, automotive requirements,
- Working knowledge of High Voltage (HEV/EV) architectures.
- Experience with Battery packs / architecture is a positive.
- Requirements management in DOORs
- Experience working in cross-functional teams (Electronics, Mechanical, Validation)
- Strong self-motivation
- Strong communications skills
