ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Coordinate with company departments to evaluate the required engineering assistance.
  2. Provide repair schemes (with drawings or sketches) and Engineering Authorization (EA) for the required repairs.
  3. Familiar with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) technical data (such as Engineering drawings, Structural Repair Manual, Service Bulletins, Maintenance Planning Data, Illustrated Parts Catalog, Airplane Maintenance Manual, etc).
  4. Familiar with Regulatory requirements such as FAA and EASA Airworthiness Directives (ADs).
  5. Communicate with OEMs and customers for technical advice/disposition and approval related to the repair work.
  6. Follow up with Production Department for the implementation of the proposed repair scheme/EA’s. Make changes or revisions to the EA’s or repair schemes to facilitate the repair work.
  7. Assist Production Department in troubleshooting of airplane systems that are not covered in the manuals.
  8. Responsible for stream lining and optimizing engineering support and processes to improve production efficiencies.
  9. Provide daily Engineering status for work progress.
  10. Good working knowledge or the ability to acquire skills in the following:The ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, by presenting ideas and giving instructions/guidance to subordinates, co-workers, supervisors and outside agencies in a manner that instructions are carried out and requested information is obtained; ability to motivate and lead a staff or team of subordinates to obtain goals, higher productivity and quality work; the ability to delegate and prioritized work effectively, be creative and persuasive.  Computer literate.  Should be familiar with engineering drawing systems, aircraft manuals and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) documents.
  11. 4 years experience in MRO/Liaison engineering activities. Experience in Narrowbody HMV Structures engineering is preferred.
