Job Details

Through an internship with ALTEN Technology USA you will experience and be exposed to a wide variety of tasks and projects that will help expose you to the inner workings of your field and prepare you for a professional future. You will work directly with senior members of the team on both internal and potentially external projects. 

You will be assigned to small project team with a few other engineers – likely an interdisciplinary team where you may be the only electrical engineer. You’ll act as a full-time engineer on your project(s). Tasks may include:

- Technical design: assist in developing architectures, power budgets, and block diagrams

- CAD design (Altium or OrCAD): develop schematics and PCB layouts

- Analysis/simulation: use tools including LTSpice to analyze expected circuit behaviors

- Component research/selection

- Prototype assembly and testing

Job Requirements

- Completed junior year (or higher) by the start of the internship; recent graduates and graduate students strongly encouraged to apply as well

- Basic knowledge of digital and analog circuits

- Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)

- Ability to approach complex problems and learn new things (especially self-directed learning)

- Desire to contribute to projects across several industries

Pay Range: 
- $20 - $25 an hour dependent on education level and experience.
