*Note* - This is a 12-month contract-to-hire engagement, on-site in Webster, TX. Benefits are offered for the duration of the contract through Alten Technology (medical, dental, vision, PTO, paid holidays, etc.).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.- Electrical/Mechanical Trouble Shooting skills responsible for the assembly, testing, and repair of Space Flight and Ground Support hardware and related projects, including Daily Preventative Maintenance of tools and equipment used in the Lab.
- Associates Degree plus applicable years directly related; Technical Degree or Military Technical School; High School Graduate plus applicable years of directly related work experience
- 1-4 years of related experience
- Hands-on experience; Electrical assembly and testing preferred
- Experience working on projects for NASA
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Good oral and written communication; and interpret Work Authorizing Documents (WADs) and design drawings/schematics
- Fabrication, assembly, and testing of components and system hardware
- Electrical assembly and testing
- General maintenance; Laboratory readiness
- Buildup of mockups and ground test equipment
- Assemble and test Controlled and Flight Hardware
