Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

This is a 6 month contract to hire engagement on-site in either Cape Canaveral, FL or Denver, CO. Salary and benefits are offered during the duration of the contract (medical, dental, vision, PTO, paid holidays, etc.).

 

As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will work with control system hardware design as well as software development for PLCs and User Interfaces. This will include the CAD design, work with technicians during fabrication, hardware and software installation and commissioning of ground systems including GSE, EGSE and facilities associated with space vehicle launch facilities. Typical systems include high pressure gas, fluid systems, motion control and electrical power systems.

  •  Create new and modify existing electrical power and controls schematics, single line and interconnect diagrams
  •  Create new and modify existing assembly drawings of designs
  •  Work directly with technicians to progress fabrication, installation, and commissioning of new or modified systems at any site
  •  Generate wire list, cable schedule, terminal, BOM and other relevant reports
  •  Perform fabrication and installation review and incorporate redlines for as-built documentation
  •  Assist in peer review of internal and external supplier design documentation
  •  Develop and update PLC software as needed to support a Sr. Software developer
  •  Develop and update HMI software as needed to support a Sr. Software developer
  •  Application of relevant company, industry (design, drafting, parts) techniques to plan, lay-out, and maintain data depicting engineering designs (detail, assembly and installation drawings or datasets)

Education

  •  BS degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering.  Other engineering or science degrees or work history will be considered if experience in above responsibilities is met


Qualifications

  •         Extensive experience with AutoCad Electrical
  •         Experience in electrical schematic design of control systems using analog and discrete instrumentation (transducers, limit switches valves, motors, etc.)
  •         Experience creating fabrication assembly drawings and panel layouts
  •         Experience inserting tables for BOM, wire list, terminal lists, etc. using Microsoft Excel
  •         Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC control systems
  •         Familiar with existing applicable drafting standards
  •         Experience with Rockwell Automation RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000 Logix Designer, Asset Centre
  •         Experience with Microsoft Office products
  •         Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Salary Range: $95K-$140K
