A key challenge involved developing avionics hardware and software for a rotorcraft lander sampling system under stringent aerospace requirements. The project required robust, radiation-hardened components and a software architecture capable of supporting deep space missions.

The team applied Agile methodologies and maintained open lines of communication across subteams. They completed six PCB designs, performed system-level testing, and built a detailed flight software architecture. Component selection followed EEE-INST-002 standards for radiation resistance.

As a result, the team delivered verified hardware and software components, passed inspections, and ensured reliable communications for the rotorcraft system. This solution demonstrated ALTEN’s expertise in cross-disciplinary engineering in mission-critical aerospace contexts.
