For an aerospace client, ALTEN Technology provided comprehensive electrical engineering support for the design and testing of a satellite backplane. This involved integrating closely with the client’s team and processes, designing the backplane schematic to include complex power and high-speed signal interfaces such as DDR and SRIO, and conducting thorough derating analyses, specifically addressing radiation survivability for EEE components. Detailed HyperLynx simulations were also performed across multiple cards within the design. The project successfully yielded design files for fabrication and documentation, along with detailed signal integrity and timing reports. ALTEN Technology collaborated with client engineers to successfully test the hardware, leveraging key tools like Mentor Graphics Xpedition and HyperLynx.
