For the $6.1 million Rotorcraft Lander Sampling System project, ALTEN Technology delivered comprehensive solutions leveraging expertise in aerospace, robotics, electrical, software, and systems engineering, complemented by robust quality assurance and project management. The team adopted agile methodologies, utilizing tools like Jira, and maintained open communication with the client through dedicated subteam meetings. Their meticulous process included updating system and PCB-level requirements, alongside rigorous software and system verification and unit testing. This resulted in the successful completion of six PCB designs, encompassing precise component selection for radiation hardness, schematic capture, and layout, followed by first article inspection and board bring-up testing. Furthermore, ALTEN Technology built the crucial flight software architecture and planning document, enabling effective communication with the rotorcraft lander, utilizing technologies such as Altium Designer, Python, Ruby, C, and RTOS.
