Optimize aircraft development. Designed fuselage components, performed extensive testing, and developed Fibersim guidelines for composite parts.

In a significant project for next-generation EVTOL development within the Advanced Air Mobility sector, ALTEN Technology played a crucial role. Their comprehensive approach involved establishing an embedded engineering team with mechanical and systems engineering support to provide extensive guidance for airframe design and stress analysis, mechanical systems design, propulsion and control systems design, requirements management, tooling design, and manufacturing build support. This engagement led to ALTEN Technology designing the majority of the fuselage, empennage, and boom components, assemblies, and installations. They also conducted static and dynamic testing of critical boom and boom-to-wing interfaces, validated and verified propulsion and control system requirements, and developed essential CAD frameworks and company-wide Fibersim guidelines for composite part manufacturing. Further contributions included dynamic nonlinear analysis of landing gear and interfaces, designing tooling for composite layup and airframe bonded assembly, and creating design and installation engineering for avionics components, while managing system requirements and supporting safety-of-flight and system mass governance activities using key tools such as Siemens NX, Teamcenter, Fibersim, and LS-DYNA.
