ALTEN Technology partnered with a major aircraft OEM to develop a comprehensive control plan for A320 work orders at their Mobile, Alabama facility. This crucial project involved outlining detailed quality control methods, including measurements, inspections, and checks, to ensure the integrity of production parts, installations, and processes. ALTEN Technology’s team of manufacturing engineers meticulously created 250 control plans over nine months, based on various technical data like SOIs, routings, process specifications, and drawings, while adhering to all ATA chapter requirements. The team also identified source parameters, proposed necessary updates to shop floor documentation, and facilitated multi-functional team meetings for timely validation. Through their expertise, ALTEN Technology provided significant added value by recommending process improvements, identifying documentation discrepancies, and ensuring strong collaboration with the client’s manufacturing engineering and quality teams.
