ALTEN Technology played a pivotal role in evolving a military ground robot project, transitioning the client’s proof-of-concept prototype into a production-representative design ready for build verification testing and competition. A multidisciplinary team of project management, systems, mechanical, electrical, and software engineers took charge of developing seven crucial modular subsystems. Their work included a five-axis manipulator arm with integrated motor control, advanced E/O and thermal camera modules, optimized radio packaging, a 100-yard fiber-optic deployment system for RF-free control, and a versatile CBRN sensor mount accommodating multiple commercial sensors.
