This aerospace wire harness design project, undertaken by ALTEN Technology, focused on developing and integrating electrical systems for a next-generation spaceplane. The approach leveraged model-based definition (MBD) to create wire harness models that seamlessly integrated into the full vehicle model, encompassing drawing production, procurement, and testing. ALTEN Technology also provided crucial support for various integration activities. As a result, system and subsystem requirements were successfully transformed into detailed harness designs, leading to exceptional client satisfaction. The client recognized ALTEN Technology’s expertise by including them on an internal committee to shape future process improvements for vehicle development, specifically regarding harness design, build, test, and integration. The project utilized tools such as NX and Capital Integration.
