For a prominent aircraft OEM located in Mobile, AL, ALTEN Technology successfully executed a comprehensive project to enhance manufacturing efficiency. This initiative centered on updating 40 existing Standard Operation Instructions (SOI) by integrating newly qualified tools, as verified by a Measurement System Analysis report. The project’s scope encompassed identifying specific SOI tasks, meticulously gathering all necessary technical data including pictures and drawings, confirming the availability of required tools on the factory assembly line and at workstations, and thoroughly revising the SOIs with clear, precise instructions. ALTEN Technology provided significant added value through its specialized manufacturing and tooling engineering expertise, further strengthened by robust relationships with the client’s Back Office Engineer and Jigs & Tools Department. A lean team of one on-site interface and three remote engineers expertly managed the project, utilizing a wide array of tools and technologies such as SAP, Airina, IBM platforms, Normaster, AirnavX, and Google Suite for data analytics, ensuring the timely delivery of all updated documentation.
