ALTEN Technology served as a dedicated product development partner to an OEM client in the automotive heavy-duty truck sector, undertaking a comprehensive face-lift project for truck cabs. This extensive work package covered the exterior, interior, and body-in-white, with ALTEN Technology overseeing the entire process from initial concept evaluation to final production release. Responsibilities included detailed CAD design, FE and GD&T analysis, crucial support for purchasing and suppliers, thorough testing and validation, and ongoing production and aftermarket assistance. The successful collaboration led to the development of new components like plastic and steel bumper assemblies, hoods, radiator grilles, headliners, and doors, alongside active participation in preventive quality planning, FMEA, and DFA, demonstrating strong project management and engineering leadership.
