For a rotorcraft lander sampling system, ALTEN Technology provided comprehensive avionics hardware and software development expertise in the aerospace and robotics domains. The project’s agile approach involved the use of Jira for task management, continuous communication with the client through multiple weekly subteam meetings, and diligent updates to system and PCB-level requirements. Rigorous software and system verification, alongside unit testing, ensured high quality. Significant achievements included the successful completion of six PCB designs, which involved careful component selection using EEE-INST-002 for radiation hardness, schematic capture, and layout. All PCB designs underwent first article inspection and board bring-up testing. Additionally, a flight software architecture and planning document was created to facilitate communication with the rotorcraft lander. This intricate project leveraged tools like Altium Designer, Python, Ruby, C, and RTOS, integrating skills from Quality Assurance, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Project Management, and Software Engineering.
