ALTEN Technology spearheaded the development of the innovative CYTOVALE SEPTISCAN Sepsis Diagnostic System, engineered to provide rapid and accurate sepsis detection. This project progressed from a feasibility prototype to a complete, repeatable product, significantly reducing diagnosis time to just 5 minutes from sample to score. The system’s design emphasizes automation to minimize human error, integrating precision control over pressure, temperature, optics, and motion. Through a multidisciplinary team approach, ALTEN Technology completed all necessary regulatory manufacturing documentation, designed a key disposable cartridge assembly, and achieved FDA clearance in 2023, delivering five units for clinical testing within 16 months of the initial concept.
