Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Design and develop digital and analog electronics for the next generation battery management system 
  • Define and participate in new EE R&D projects for improving the battery management system.
  • Design circuits and create verification plans with reference to higher level requirements.
  • Collaborate with systems engineering team on defining hardware requirements.
  • Design electrical and electronics boards with various specifications including high speed buses, high precision analog circuits, high voltage circuits, and high-density mixed signal applications.
  • Create schematic drawings and perform PCB layout.
  • Perform electrical and electronics component selection according to internal and external requirements.
  • Work closely with embedded software team members on defining and documenting HW/SW interfaces.
  • Interface with software, mechanical, and systems engineering teams to streamline the product design and development process.


  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields, or equivalent in experience and proof of exceptional abilities.
  • 5+ years of related professional experience.



The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

  • Proficient in schematic capture and PCB layout software tools (Altium preferred).
  • Expert in microcontrollers or other programmable devices.
  • Experienced with relevant electrical, PCB, and automotive standards.
  • Strong understanding of PCB manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Knowledge of high-speed and high-voltage design rules.
  • Experience with digital serial interfaces such as CAN, SPI, I2C, and UART.
  • Familiarity with version control tools.
  • Effective communicator.
  • Experience in building and leading technical teams.
  • Strong documenting and organizational skills.
